Locations / Maps
Taxis
Local taxis are available. To book, call Castlemaine Taxis on 5472 3377.
Bus
Castlemaine Bus Lines has regular bus services to Dhelkaya Health. Call 5472 1455 for timetables and bus stop information or visit the Castlemaine Bus Lines website.
Train
The Castlemaine train station is on the Bendigo-Melbourne line. The station is located approximately 1km from Dhelkaya Health. It takes approximately 20 minutes to walk from the station. There is a steep uphill incline once you arrive at the Castlemaine Campus grounds. Train timetables are available on the VLine website.
Parking and Transport
Vehicles parked on Dhelkaya Health’s premises are parked at the owner’s risk.
Parking is available in various locations around the Castlemaine Campus. Parking signs are visible from the main road and restrictions are signposted.
All parking at Dhelkaya Health is free and there are no restrictions on time.
A designated short-term patient drop-off and pick-up zone is located outside Main Reception in Odgers Road at our Castlemaine Campus.
There are also resident pick-up/drop-off zones located directly outside Ellery House, Penhall and Thompson House.
Limited parking is available directly outside the Community Rehabilitation Centre.
Visiting Hours
Please read our visitor guide prior to your visit to check on visiting times and mask restrictions.
Visitor restrictions and visiting hours vary between residential care, Geroe and Connolly Units, and Maldon Hospital.
Castlemaine campus Geroe and Connolly Units visiting hours are between 2pm and 7pm daily.
Maternity visiting hours are between 10am and 8pm daily.
Visitors are welcome at our Residential Aged Care services in Maldon and Castlemaine anytime during the day, however if you would like to visit after dinner, please contact the Nurse Unit Manager, as doors are locked at that time.  Compassionate visits are available via Nurse Unit Managers.

Dhelkaya Health has a current COVIDSafe Plan and has a COVIDSafe Plan poster at all entrances to our facility.
Filming and Photography
At Dhelkaya Health, photographing, filming or recording for personal and family use is generally permitted with strict limits.
Visitors, patients, and families can typically take photos, videos, or recordings of themselves or their loved one for personal purposes without needing prior approval.
However, photography, filming or recording of staff, other patients, visitors, volunteers, contractors, consultants or sensitive consumer information, is not permitted without written consent.
Photography and filming on the grounds of Dhelkaya Health for professional, media, promotional, or non-personal purposes (e.g., content creators or external photographers) requires prior approval from Dhelkaya Health’s Communications team.
Anyone found taking photographs, making audio recordings, or filming/video recording on Dhelkaya Health premises without appropriate permissions and consents will be asked to cease immediately and may be required to delete any material. Further action may be taken depending on the circumstances.
