Work Experience

Work Experience allows secondary school students to gain direct insight into various roles within a healthcare organisation.

Dhelkaya Health offers a range of Work Experience placements for Year 10 and 11 secondary school students.

Preference is given to students who live in the Mount Alexander Shire local government area.

Placements are available in the following areas:

• Nursing & Personal Care
• Allied Health (including
• Physiotherapy, Occupational
• Therapy, Podiatry, Speech,
• Dietetics & Pharmacy, Radiology)
• Hospitality/Food Services
• Administration (Public Relations, Finance, Health Information, Reception, Community Rehabilitation Centre, Human Resources)
• Engineering & Maintenance (Electrical, Plumbing, Carpentry & Gardening)

All work experience placements are provided in one-week blocks and can be accommodated throughout the year. Limited places are available in the Nursing and Allied Health areas, so flexibility with placement dates is ideal.
