Hairdressing Service
We offer on-site hairdressing services for our hospital patients. If you’d like to book an appointment, please don’t hesitate to ask our team for assistance. It’s important to note that there are associated fees for this service.Â
Telephones
All of our Geroe Unit beds have a telephone. The telephone can be used to receive incoming calls and to place internal calls within Dhelkaya Health. Unfortunately, these telephones cannot be used to make external calls to people outside Dhelkaya Health.
Entertainment
Televisions and radios are available at each bedside for patient use, and we encourage you to bring personal devices for entertainment and communication. As a courtesy to others, please use headphones or earpieces when listening to the radio, television, or personal devices. We are not able to provide headphones, so please ensure to bring some from home.Â
Valuables
Dhelkaya Health does not accept responsibility for loss or damage to personal property, so we recommend you leave valuables, jewellery or excessive sums of money at home.
Laundry Services
If you need to access our laundry service, don’t hesitate to speak to the team. There is a small fee associated with this service.Â
We also offer a free clothing labelling service to ensure your clothes make their way back to their rightful owner.Â
While we take the utmost care, please note, our washing process may adversely affect some types of clothing, such as wool or mohair.Â
Patient Gifts
Flowers are a beautiful way to show someone you are thinking of them during a difficult time. When selecting flowers, please avoid any that are heavily scented.Â
Due to the risk of infection, we cannot accept potted plants as gifts on the units.Â
If you would like to arrange a gift delivery to a patient, please include the patient’s name and address it to Main Reception – Castlemaine Campus.Â
Cafe
Our onsite café at our Castlemaine Campus offers a fresh, seasonal menu. It’s open Monday to Friday from 7 am to 4 pm. After hours, snacks and cool drinks are available from vending machines in the cafe and the foyer near the Main Reception.
