Three Peaks Ride

The Castlemaine Rouleurs are back at it, continuing their tradition of raising funds for their local health service with a challenging and rewarding ride.

This year, the team will tackle a 120km route, covering some of the most iconic climbs in the region: Mount Alexander, Mount Tarrengower, and Mount Franklin. The ride will push the riders to their limits, but it’s all in support of a great cause.

The riders involved in this epic challenge include Ben Priest, Paul and Lois Kent, Carl Harris, Michael Priest, Gabe and Craig Marshal, Mike and Sam Murphy, and Simon Gearing – The Castlemaine Rouleurs. Together, they will make their way across the hilly terrain, united in their effort to raise much-needed funds for the health service.

Your support will help these riders make a meaningful difference in their community, and every contribution counts towards a healthier future for those in need.

Homelessness Support

Homelessness and the risk of homelessness has a profound effect on a person’s life. It impacts on people’s mental and physical health, education, employment opportunities, connection to community, and their ability to fully participate in society.

Dhelkaya Health’s Housing Support team works directly with homeless people living in our local shire. We connect them with support services and provide equipment such as swags and phones to help them stay safe and connected.

By donating to us, you’re helping to directly fund the purchase of this equipment to help improve people’s dignity, health and safety.

Maldon residents cycle without age

A big shout-out to Maldon Cycling whose donations purchased a Trishaw for the residents at Maldon Hospital. Their commitment to Maldon Hospital has created a wonderful new experience for residents to enjoy.

The wonderful Cycling Without Age Castlemaine chapter are providing Pilots for the Trishaw and working to attract more volunteers for the Maldon site to undergo Pilot training.

Together our community can achieve incredible results!

Be a community fundraiser

Dhelkaya Health relies on support of community networks and community fundraisers.

If you want to make a difference to the challenges in health and wellbeing here in our rural community, running a community fundraiser is a great way to help. We’d love to support you to fundraise on our behalf in the community.

If you’d like to run your own community fundraiser, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with your ideas and to discuss the areas of greatest need.

In Memoriam Gifts

When you are marking the passing of a loved one with a memorial or funeral service, you may wish to add to their legacy by making a contribution to our local health services to benefit the communities of Mount Alexander.

We can arrange for special donation forms to be made available for the occasion so guests, friends and family may, if they wish, make a donation in lieu of flowers.

To discuss your arrangements please contact us.

Why contacting us is important

Contacting our staff ensures that we are able to provide you with security that your legacy is managed with regard to your wishes. It helps ensure that it achieves your intended purpose in regard to the location, service or program you wish to support. You can also choose to leave a legacy to the area of greatest need at the time your bequest is realised.

By contacting us, we are able to provide more information about the options available for your support.

We recommend that you consider seeking independent legal advice and discussing your wishes with family and loved ones.

Leaving a Bequest

Bequests are often referred to as Planned Giving, although the subject can be challenging, most of us know that in death we can often make a greater gift to causes we care about than when we were alive. Giving this some thought means you can have a significant and lasting impact on your community.

Types of Bequests

There are different forms of bequests which you can discuss with your solicitor. These include:

  • a specified percentage of the residue of your estate after you first provide for loved ones
  • a specific dollar amount, property or assets
  • the whole, or a specified percent, of your estate
  • details of particular asset (for example, shares, which will not incur capital gains).

Please use the ABN 93 073 879 138 to correctly identify Dhelkaya Health as the organisation of your choice.

If you would like to speak with us, your no obligation enquiry will be managed sensitively, confidentially and ethically.
