2013 Murray to Moyne Cycle Relay

On Saturday 6th – Sunday 7th April 2013 the Castlemaine Rouleur will take part in the Murray to Moyne cycle relay to once again raise funds for Castlemaine Health.

With the first teams riding for Castlemaine Health in 1992, 2013 marks 21 years of involvement for Castlemaine Health supporters and teams, raising over $450,000 for the hospital during that time.

This year’s team of twelve is made up of: Adam Marks, Andrew Bos, Bryan Maddern, Carl Harris, Chris Shay, David Boak, Emeile Dawkins, Gary Bunn, Mick Murphy, Nathan Minster, Phil Priest and Tom Baud, with Castlemaine Health Executive Director of Corporate Services Rick Munari along as driver.

The aim for this year is to raise funds to purchase a diathermy machine, which is an electrosurgical unit that is used in cutting tissues and coagulating blood vessels.  This will be a useful addition to the new hospital theatre redevelopment once it is completed later this year.
