Castlemaine Health and Theatre Royal presents ‘Le Ride’

Castlemaine Health and Theatre Royal are teaming up to present a warming winter fundraising screening of ‘Le Ride’.

The evening will be a celebration of cycling, with prizes on the night, a super domestique tyre change challenge for the GC Contender and a Spin Ride Challenge sponsored by Life Cycle Gymnasium. Come along in your favourite cycling outfit to win a spot prize and help raise some money for our local hospital.

‘Le Ride’ tells the incredible story of the four intrepid young men from Australia and New Zealand as they compete in the 1928 Tour de France. The 1928 Tour was the toughest in history with only 41 finishers out of 161 starters, and yet incredibly, three were from the Australasian team. Amazing Race host, adventurer and cycling enthusiast Phil Keoghan and mate Ben Cornell pay tribute to these iconic sporting heroes by traversing the unforgiving mountains of the Pyrenees and the Alps on original vintage steel racing bikes with no gears and marginal brakes.

Festivities: 6pm start
Movie: 8pm start (90 mins)
