A free guided tour of Chewton will be held on Thursday 26th of October and everyone is invited to come along.
Chewton local Mrs Elaine Appleton will lead the stroll which starts at the Chewton Town Hall at 9.30am.
“Our town hall is said to be the smallest town hall in Victoria and possibly in Australia. From there we will stroll down the street and learn about Chewton’s history, including the big flood of 1889 which killed two men, and Robert Penney; Chewton’s historic baker.”
The gentle hour-long walk is organised by Dhelkaya Health as part of their regular monthly series of walks.
“We’d love to see our regular participants and warmly welcome any new guests. It’s a wonderful opportunity to get out of the house, socialise, and learn about Chewton,” said Liza Shaw from Dhelkaya Health.
