Dhelkaya Health’s program of infrastructure improvements continues at the Castlemaine campus, with the new main Reception now open and two new Urgent Care Centre triage windows in the Urgent Care reception area almost complete.
As part of the ongoing improvement works at the Castlemaine campus, essential works on our power mains are scheduled for this Saturday, 5 April. The works will result in a series of threeplanned power outages which are essential to enhancing our hospital’s power supply and security.
The power outages will occur in three separate phases of approximately 15 minutes each through Saturday, 5 April. The outages will be carefully managed in line with strict operational and emergency protocols to ensure the safety and wellbeing of patients, residents, visitors, and staff.
A team of staff from across Dhelkaya Health has been involved in preparations for the day to ensure services to patients and residents are uninterrupted. The team has been working incredibly hard to make sure that every need is accounted and planned for, and that patients and residents continue to receive the very highest level of care. We are committed to maintaining the highest standards of care and ensuring that the impact of these planned works on our services is minimal.
- Extra staff have been scheduled to ensure that all hospital operations run smoothly throughout the outages.
- Meal service will remain uninterrupted, with all patients continuing to receive their meals on time as planned.
- Emergency lighting will activate as needed to ensure the safety and comfort of everyone in the facility.
- Phone lines will be diverted to mobile phones, so communication will continue without disruption.
If you are planning to visit the hospital or have loved ones in care during this time, we appreciate your understanding and cooperation. Should you have any concerns or need further information, please do not hesitate to contact our main reception.
