Would you like a rewarding volunteer role which can help a young person in an important and practical way? The TAC L2P Program might be for you.
The TAC L2P Program assists learner drivers under 21 years of age, who do not have access to a supervising driver or vehicle, to gain the 120 hours driving experience required for a probationary licence.
Dhelkaya Health runs this program locally, and is hosting an L2P information session for those who are thinking about volunteering.
Enjoy a complementary afternoon tea while you learn more about this valuable volunteering role.
Taking the first step into a new volunteer role can be daunting. You might wonder if it will fit in with your lifestyle. Will you be suited to this role, and does it actually make a difference?
Virginia has been matched with her learner Tahnee for around a year now. “I feel really lucky to have met Tahnee through the L2P program. She is such a fantastic young person and so committed to her driving goals. Teaching her to become a safe and capable driver has been very rewarding.”
There are no obligations if you come along to the information session – just an opportunity to ask questions, find answers and hear from people who are currently in the role of driver mentor.
You can play a vital role in supporting young people to drive safely.
When: Tuesday 26th August at 2.00pm
Venue: Dhelkaya Health – Function Room – go to main reception
