A person visiting the Castlemaine hospital main entrance and vaccination clinic on Monday 27 September between 8.27am and 10.07am has tested positive for COVID-19. The person had no face-to-face contact with Castlemaine Health patients or residents and is isolating at home.
Our aged care facilities are not part of the exposure site.
A small number of staff members have been tested. All have received negative results. They are continuing to self-isolate as a precaution.
Anyone who visited the hospital main entrance or vaccination clinic at the same time as the case should urgently get tested for COVID-19 and isolate until they receive a negative result.
A reminder that anyone in the community with any symptoms of COVID-19, no matter how mild, should seek testing.
A pop-up testing clinic will be operating at the Camp Reserve, Forest Street Castlemaine:
Thursday 30 September: 10.30am – 12.30pm and 2pm – 4pm
Friday 1 October: 9.30am – 12.30 pm
