Dhelkaya Health is pleased to announce an upcoming community wellbeing information session for March, led by Community Health Nurse, Jenny Miko.
This informative session will take place on Wednesday, 16 April at the Maldon Men’s Shed. The focus of the session will be on “Decreasing the Risk of Drug-Resistant Infections in the Community,” an important topic given the rising global concerns about antibiotic resistance.
The session will provide valuable information on how community members can actively participate in the fight against drug-resistant infections. Some practical tips will be shared including information on how your small actions can make a big difference in preventing the spread of resistant microbes.
“We know that the use of antibiotics for preventable conditions is a significant factor contributing to the rise of drug-resistant infections,” said Jenny. “This session will provide insights into how we can all play a part in safeguarding our community’s health. By simply following a few key practices, we can collectively help reduce the need for antibiotics, protecting ourselves and future generations from infections that may become harder to treat.”
This session is free and open to everyone—no prior registration required. It offers a great opportunity for members of the community to learn about this crucial health topic.
“We’re committed to supporting our community with accessible health education and information, and we encourage everyone to attend,” said Jenny. “The more we know, the better equipped we’ll be to protect ourselves and others from preventable health risks.”
