Maldon Men’s Shed opens doors for health

Dhelkaya Health, in partnership with Maldon Men’s Shed, is set to provide an opportunity for everyone in the community to find out about a range of health services offered by Dhelkaya Health.

The session will be delivered by Dhelkaya Health staff Darren Gaut and Tania Dunn on Wednesday, 26 May from 11am to midday at Maldon Men’s Shed. All are welcome to attend as the Men’s Shed will open its doors everyone in the community, regardless of their gender.

Darren Gaut, Community Nurse Unit Manager at Dhelkaya Health, plans to describe the services he manages including the District Nursing Service and Community Palliative Care, as well as give an update on the range of community health services offered at Dhelkaya Health across both Castlemaine and Maldon.

“There is a range of services that we provide to people living in the community, including ‘hospital in the home’, palliative care, post-acute care and complex care.”, said Darren.

“We will also discuss advance care planning and the importance of appointing an alternative decision maker.”
