2013 Run the ‘Maine

Sunday 6th October 2013

2km, 5km or 10km fun run or walk

Proceeds to our local Health Services

Thanks for supporting this community event that raises much needed funds for our local hospital, Castlemaine Health.

Last year $5000 was donated to Castlemaine Health, paying for defibrillators and trainers to teach the staff in their use. We also added a 2km event Run4Hannah in honour of local girl, Hannah Thompson, who died of cystic fibrosis in 2012 and over her 14 year life utilised our local health service extensively. Funds from Hannah’s event were donated to Cystic Fibrosis Victoria. Last year we had nearly 500 entrants and we look forward to attracting more this year.

While it is great to have the keen competitors, it was also good to see others just having a go or sharing the experience with a child. We want to continue to promote this event as fun family time and a time to reflect on your health.  We look forward to your continued support.

If you have any suggestions or would like to volunteer your time for the event don’t hesitate to contact us – info@runthemaine.org
