Dhelkaya Health Supports Early Learning Centres in Mount Alexander Shire to Promote Oral Health through Smiles 4 Miles Program
Dhelkaya Health is continuing its support of early learning centres across Mount Alexander Shire to promote oral health through the Smiles 4 Miles program. This initiative includes engaging activities within early learning centres in celebration of World Oral Health Day.
On 20 March 2025, Casey Bell, a teacher at Ray Street Children’s Centre, led fun and educational activities for the children to mark World Oral Health Day.
“We practiced toothbrushing skills using Dhelkaya Health’s puppet, ‘Chomp,’ which the children love,” said Casey. “We also read stories about visiting the dentist to further educate the children on the importance of oral care.”
Smiles 4 Miles is a program by Dental Health Services Victoria, designed to promote good oral health habits among children and their families. By supporting early childhood services, the program aims to improve oral health outcomes for young children.
